Every Popfour piece is crafted from kiln-fired ceramic and finished by hand in our Phoenix, Arizona studio. With proper care, your ceramic art will maintain its beauty for years to come. Below you'll find practical guidance on cleaning, handling, and what to do if something goes wrong during shipping.

🧽 Cleaning & Maintenance

• Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a clean feather duster. This prevents buildup in textured surfaces and painted details.
• Spot clean when needed using a damp cloth with a small amount of mild dish soap. Wipe gently, then dry thoroughly with a soft towel.
• Avoid harsh chemicals. Abrasive cleaners, bleach, ammonia-based sprays, and scouring pads can damage glazes, painted finishes, and metallic accents.
• Lighted ceramic trees: Unplug and allow bulbs to cool completely before cleaning. Use a dry cloth only around electrical components. Never submerge any lighted piece in water.
• Outdoor pieces: Garden sculptures and planters designed for outdoor use can be rinsed with a garden hose. Avoid pressure washers, which may chip glazed surfaces.

🤲 Safe Handling & Display

• Always lift from the base, not by protruding elements such as arms, branches, or decorative extensions. These details are strong but not designed to bear the full weight of the piece.
• Place on stable, level surfaces. Use felt pads or a soft cloth beneath the base to protect both the ceramic and your furniture from scratches.
• Keep away from edges. Display ceramics away from table edges, high shelves without rails, and areas with heavy foot traffic or active pets.
• Avoid extreme temperature changes. Moving a piece directly from a cold garage to a warm room (or vice versa) can cause thermal stress. Allow pieces to adjust to room temperature gradually.

📦 Seasonal Storage

• Wrap each piece individually in acid-free tissue paper or clean cotton fabric. Avoid newspaper, which can transfer ink to glazed surfaces.
• Use the original packaging whenever possible. Our shipping boxes and foam inserts are designed to fit each product securely.
• Store upright in a dry location. Avoid damp basements, uninsulated attics, or areas prone to temperature swings.
• Do not stack heavy items on top of stored ceramics. Even sturdy pieces can crack under sustained pressure.

Before any piece leaves our studio, it goes through a hands-on inspection process:

1. Structural check — examined for cracks, chips, and stability.
2. Finish review — glaze coverage, paint details, and any metallic or specialty finishes are verified.
3. Electrical test (lighted items only) — all bulbs, wiring, and switches are tested for proper function.
4. Protective packaging — every order is wrapped in multi-layer bubble wrap, placed in a form-fitted foam insert, and shipped in a reinforced corrugated box marked "FRAGILE."

A note on handmade character: Because our ceramics are handcrafted, minor variations in color, texture, glaze pattern, and dimensions are normal. These subtle differences are part of what makes each piece one of a kind and are not considered defects.

📩 If Your Item Arrives Damaged

Despite our careful packaging, shipping damage can occasionally occur. If your piece arrives cracked, chipped, or broken, here's what to do:

1. Document the damage — take clear photos of the item and the packaging (including the outer box) before discarding anything.
2. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@Popfour.shop or call +1 602-262-6297. Include your order number and the photos.
3. We'll resolve it promptly. Depending on the situation and product availability, we will arrange a replacement or a full refund at no extra cost to you. You will not be asked to pay return shipping for items damaged in transit.

For returns unrelated to shipping damage, our standard 30-day return policy applies. Items must be in their original, unused condition with all packaging.
